Here's 3 albums that come to mind that I feel are strongly overlooked and underrated:

It Was Written (almost classic imo. When it dropped I remember it getting mad hated on by critics who were expecting another Illmatic. Sure it's not on Illmatic's level but it's better than alot of albums that dropped that year and have dropped since. There were 1-2 good tracks, the rest I either love or think are classic cuts, worth every penny imo).

Sticky Fingaz - Black Trash.... (I love this album, another almost classic album imo. I don't hear people 'shitting' on it but I don't hear it get enough recognition either. It's a really innovative LP, great beats, great concepts and great lyrics, what more could you want??).

Warren G - Return Of The Regulator (When the advance of this dropped I remember it getting quite a good response but then all of a sudden everyone started hating on it. I love this album, it's a solid effort from Warren, his second best imo. Some of his best production in years and he stepped up lyrically aswell. Quite a few deep and meaningful tracks were included which is what I like to hear, and it had that signiture Warren sound that has you nodding your head constantly. Great stuff, pity it was overlooked by alot of people).

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

You should really listen to the albums before you post that foolishness.  Nas did make an album called Illmatic.
