« on: July 22, 2002, 01:19:25 AM »
The 2nd half of the year seems better than the first one for the west coast rap music.

From July to november will be out all the biggest  releases:

*Mack 10 Presents Da Hood
*Knocturn'al "Knockslandin"
*Big Tray Dee "Generals List"
*Yukmouth "United Ghettos Of America"
*Snoop Dogg Presents "Welcome to the house"
*Shade Sheist "Informal Introduction"
*Xzibit "Man Vs Machine"
*Bone Thugs-N-Harmony "Thug World Order"
*Crooked I "Say Hy to the Lmao Guy"
*Tha Eastsidaz
*W.C. "Ghetto Heisman"
*Snoop Dogg "Paid the Cost To Be The Boss"

Its an huge list, hopefully all the releases above will be worth buying......the west can blow up again with these albums ?

Word.  And I just found out recently that WC is dropping on Def Jam.  Everything Def Jam put out blows up, so we may have another big West Coast Superstar.

And Xzibit's about the change the game with Man vs. Machine, in my opinion, every album he drops is an improvement on the last.

You got big names on that list and the expectations are high, the question is if they meet them. I guess we'll hav to wait and see, thats the only way to answer your question now........... i mean any of those albums can be classic or disappointing

I'm pretty sure WC "Ghetto heisman" will be the west coast album of the year, along with Xzibit's one.

Dont forget about Ras Kass. I can't wait for this album one of my most anticiapted along with xzibit and crooked i's albums.

On the priority web site it says his album will be out Spring 2002 & Summer 2002, must of mistyped one of them. The priority site also said it will feature Xzibit, Saafir, Kokane, Tray Deee, Mike city, Tash and Nate Dogg. Dope line up but it will probably change.

He had to go back to the studio again cause of bootlegging. So there might be a delay on this album.

I heard that that his album is called 'goldyn child' now. Yall might of heard the Goldyn Child song by Ras, its produced by DJ Premier. It's a very dope song.

Anyone got any recent news about a release date or anything about the album??

If WC's Ghetto Heisman will be like the first single (The streets),this album will be a classic release.
Bone thugs n harmony ? ? ? I have my doubts about their new release....

I'm talking about more recently, I know in the past Jayo, Dove Shack, The Twinz, and the South Central Cartel didn't have much success with Def Jam.  But Def Jam is on top of the hip-hop industry at this very moment.  They got all the pull with radio stations, etc.  They're a giant.

what a stupid thing to say

anyway, Isnt Bone Thugs from Cleveland?  So they wouldnt be classified as "wescoast"?

Things look pretty good for the west anyhow, Xzibit and Crooked I will drop good albums, WC and Shade Sheist will shine, and Snoop will drop another good album...Things look pretty good for the WC.
