Gucci Mane wanted in connection with ATL murder

Gucci Mane is set to turn himself into Atlanta's Dekalb County Police Department on alleged murder charges later today.

According to a SOHH.com source, last Tuesday, Gucci Mane, aka Radric Davis, and an unidentified friend went to Atlanta's Blazing Saddles stripclub to visit with a dancer named Foxy. Word is Gucci and his comrade then headed over to the dancer's house to play some of the rapper's mixtapes. Foxy allegedly made several phone calls on the way to the location. Moments after arriving at the stripper's house, the door bell rang and the woman let in five assailants who began attacking Gucci and his friend. Gucci was armed at the time and let off shots before fleeing the scene, the source told SOHH.com.

Davis then went back on the road to resume his promotional commitments. Three days later, in the middle of filming an episode of BET's Rap City, Mane was informed that there was a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was in relation to a body found near Columbia High School in Decatur on Friday 13th.

The body allegedly has been identified as a young rapper signed to Young Jeezy's CTE (Corporate Thugs Entertainment). Mane and Jeezy had been trading diss records in recent weeks. As of late, rumors had been spreading that the feud began when Jeezy wasn't paid to appear on Gucci's current single, "So Icy." On the other hand, a source close to the Big Cat Records told SOHH.com that the beef began because Island Def Jam has unsuccessfully been trying to purchase Gucci's song to make it a Jeezy single.

Sources say Gucci Mane immediately cooperated, pushed back his upcoming promotional dates and returned to Atlanta. He's set to surrender today. Big Cat Records, Mane's recording home, is set to release an official statement after the preliminary hearing and a press conference on the matter is soon to be announced.

After establishing a buzz in the South, Gucci Mane recently took his hype nationwide with the release of "So Icy." His debut album, Trap House is scheduled to hit stores next Tuesday, May 24.
