Tray Deee's - The General's List (Review)
« on: July 20, 2002, 05:19:48 PM »
Ok y'all, apparently I got this album a little bit early since my local Wherehouse made a mistake, Here is my first listen review.

1. Intro - Mac Minister - He basically introduces Tray Deee and this album

2. I Can Make You Dance. Produced by Tony Touch.
If you have the new MC Eiht album "Underground Hero", your gonna be like WTF!!!????. Why you ask? well this song has the exact same beat as MC Eiht's "Territory". Tray Deee just rips it and sounds better than MC Eiht on this beat that sounds alot like a Battlecat production.

3. Fine feat. Big Snoop Dogg. Produced by Meech Wells.
This a Big Snoop Dogg solo and Meech provides a bangin beat to go along with it. Snoop does the hook and sounds alot like Kokane doing it.

4. Questions. Produced by 12 Sinatra for SPOP Ent. Performed by Icebergh.
A weird beat provided for this unknown artist. I ain't feeling his voice at all but Tray Deee would have ripped this beat apart. The first weak song on this album.

5. IZUWITIT. Produced by Fred Wreck. Performed by Tray Deee.
I don't think I need to go into detail about this song, straight dopeness provided by Fred Wreck. Sounds a little bit like "Gangbang 4 Real" off Deuces and Trays.

6. LA. Produced by Devastating. Performed by KF-KLIK.
A slammin westcoast beat by this unknown producer. These newcomers sound pretty dope. A song reppin Los Angeles.

7. Finer Thangzzzz. Produced by Dr.Dre. Performed by 40 Glocc and LV.
This is my first time hearing 40 Glocc and he is definitely a dope artist. Now he rips the beat and LV does a dope hook over this Dr.Dre beat. Now most of y'all want to know about this beat well let me just say that it isn't Dr.Dre's best. It sounds alot like Nate Dogg's "Your Wife", almost the identical beat.

8. Thugzzz Pray 2. Produced by DJ Silk. Performed by the Outlawz.
The Outlawz come tight as usual. Noble spits the best. DJ Silk provides an eerie beat.

9. Hard Timez on Planet Earth. Produced by SPOP Ent. Performed by Tray Deee and Bad Azz.
SPOP Ent. come up with a bangin beat and Bad Azz and Tray Deee rip it up.

10. Big Ballin. Produced by Fred Wreck. Performed by Tray Deee.
Damn Fred Wreck is a hell of a creative producer. He has never made a beat like this. More laid back than usual. Tray Deee of course rips it up.

11. Shynnin. Produced by Sonic. Performed by Beretta and Asiah.
I ain't really feeling this track at all. The worst on the album at the moment. This song could have been left off.

12. Enjoy Yourself. Produced by Manny. Performed by Bam.
Every Compilation has an RnB song and this is it for this album. Bam is average, really nothing special and thats the same feeling about this song.

13. Blazin Endo. Produced by Manny. Performed by Tray Deee and Bam.
Tray Deee comes tight on this average beat but Bam is sounds annoying saying "Blazing Endo" on the hook. Average song that Tray Deee cannot even save.

14. Clap Yo Handz. Produced by Tha 4th Dimension. Performed by 4Life Family feat. Kokane.
This song is slammin!!!!! Sounds alot like a Fred Wreck produced track. Its basically Tray Deee along with the 4life family ripping up this beat and Kokane does his usual thing on the hook. A slammin track, one of the best on the album.

15. Fuck a Suit. Produced by Manny. Performed by Eastsidaz feat. Baby Chico and Icebergh.
A laidback average beat. The Eastsidaz come tight but at the moment I ain't feeling the other 2 artist.

16. Tearing Shit Up. Produced by DJ Silk. Performed by Money Green feat. Manish Flats.
The beat is really dope but these guys are unknown. Damn >:( >:( >:( Tray Deee could have ripped this beat as well.

17. Street Sweepin. Produced by Battlecat. Performed by Tray Deee,Bam and Big Rocc.
As usual Battlecat provides a slammin beat. His signature clap comes up. The beat sounds like a Fred Wreck and BC collabo. All the artist come tight on this beat.

This album is pretty dope and in no way is this a Tray Deee solo album. As you can tell he doesn't show up that much but when he does he rips it up. Overall this a dope album at first listen and it will probably grow more on me as I listen to it more.

7/10 At first listen :P

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

For the homies in southern california.
I bought the cd at the wherehouse on Norwalk and Firestone Blvd. Use a map or something. There is a circuit city right next to it so u can't miss it. They had quite a few in stock (over 10 and more) and no one really notice them at all. :o :o
