The newest Tha Row Records inmate is....
« on: July 15, 2002, 05:10:00 PM »
Juvenile?  according to the webmaster of dpgrecordz, Juve is signed to Tha Row.  he's gonna be on the remix to "So Damn Hood".  I don't know what to think of it.  He brings a big name to the label, since he did sell 4 million albums for 400 Degreez, but I just can't see him fit with west coast beats.  what do y'all think of this?

Juvenile has released 2 subpar CDs since 400 Degreez.  G-Code was lame, and Project English was okay only cos of production and guest spots.  And "600 Degreez" is wack.  Basically..Juvenile is not the name he once was..and doesnt really add a spark to the Row IMO.  Also, with Crooked I and Kurupt albums STILL nowhere in sight..why even start the anticipation for the new Juvie on the Row?

Sounds like a pretty good business move...Now only if Tha Row started to put out some fucking music I would maybe start giving them their props.   I never like Juvenile, but I am looking forward to Crooked I...

I still think Juve sounds best over Mannie Fresh beats.  Im not a Cash Money fan, but it just seems to me that Juve sounded best with CMR.  He fucked up.

He should've worked it with them out cuz from what I hear.. that Lil Wayne is gettin love.. (from CMR fans)  and so is the new Big Tymers.  He could've been involved with both of those projects which would have set him up for his next album.  His new UTP shit just isn't poppin.

Yah..its ironic--on 600 Degreez theres a diss song towards Juvenile and Juvie makes a comment that without Juvenile Cash Money isnt selling records (i believe the song was recorded a few months ago)..ANYWAYS-after Juvenile left, quite frankly, Cash Money got hot again.  Still Fly is the song of the summer IMO--and Hood Rich is well on its way to platinum status.  Lil Wayne's "Way of Life" is always hovering around the top 5 on 106 and Park--and whether you love or hate that show-its a prestigious position.  While all of this has happened, Juvenile has done a few guest appearances, a weak soundtrack, and now this weak 600 Degreez.

So basically, lets say Baby wasnt giving him all the money he deserves..I guarantee you he'd make more by doing 2 songs on Wayne's 500 Degreez, than he'll make from all the profits (or lack there of) of 600 Degreez.

I aint never heard any of his shit so it dont make no difference to me.  All I am waiting for is the New Pac. From what I have heard of Crooked I, hes seems cool but until the album comes out and there is a review of it, I aint getting excited.

I think he might sound good over some west coast beats.  I hate Cash Money production.

Juvi needs Mannie Fresh.  Fresh carried Cash Money.  The lyrics certainly didn't.
