Dr Dre Sued over "Addictive" Track !!!!

INDIAN GIVER: Dr. Dre is in settlement talks with attorneys for Saregama India Limited, after discovering Aftermath/Interscope artist Truth Hurt's smash "Addictive" illegally used portions of an Indian movie soundtrack, it was reported by allhiphop.com. The song sampled was "Thoda Resham Lagta Hai," by Hindu singer Lata Mangeshkar, from the movie Jyoti. Dre's legal counsel responded that they couldn't locate the original copyright holders, but were willing to offer six cows to secure the rights. (7/11p)

Actually when I first heard this song I knew I had heard the saem beat b4.  I think it is right for someone to get sued if they use someone elses sound.

Yeah Quik did the beat ... but Dre Bought/Released It and should have gotten Clearance ... He acknowledged that they couldn't get in touch w/the right people to get the proper clearance.
