Tony Blair is quite right to turn down request to negotiate the rebate unless there are major eu spending reforms particularly to do with farming subsidies (which the french do so well out of). We are already the second biggest net giver to the eu why should we tighten our belt before everyone else. Germany is way up there on the top spot but then they should be after all they did destroy half of europe not so long ago. What is chirac doing hes the one who got the no vote and hes trying to alienate the british further and rufusing to negotiate farming subsidies is part the reason why africa is in poverty we no longer need to grow everything thing in europe for our own strategic reasons, now the european consumer pays way over the odds for food and african farmers can't compete because they are subject to at tarrif and our farms are subsided. Its reasons likes these i boycott anything french.

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

Then there is the industrys in France like fancy cars, wine and art. Then you have Holland. Dope, tulips, prostitutes and clogs.
