The commissioners are not elected they are appointed, paid for by the people of europe yet they are not held to account by them. And they have a hansome employment package with includes high tax free salaries, diplomatic immunity and huge expense accounts and generous pensions. its no wonder its been plaqued with corruption and dodgy deals.
