Dr. Dre & Eazy-E question
« on: July 12, 2002, 09:12:00 AM »
I remember reading an article with Eazy-E when he was alive, where he was talking about making money off of every Dr. Dre produced album.  I can't remember how long that was supposed to last, but if it was still going on, would Ruthless Records (Tomica Wright) still be making money off of Dre's albums?

Every Chronic album that was sold... Eazy E got 25 cents. At the time of his death, the Chronic sold 3 million so that's $750,000 off of Dre. I think that now all the money goes to Suge, I haven't heard anything about it since Eazy's death. But if so, now the Chronic has sold 6 million over time and being re-released and so that's $1.5 million for Ruthless Records, and the Wright family off of Dre. Let it be noted that for the Chronic now, Dre doesn't get a penny.
