Incarcerated rapper Shyne (Jamal Barrow) has been denied the chance for a new trial after being sentenced to 10 years for a 1999 shooting.

On Tuesday, a panel of five people representing the State of New York ruled unanimously that the 26-year-old lyricist was proven guilty in the first trial.

The rapper was convicted on several counts such as assault, weapons possession and reckless endangerment.

The rapper released Godfather Buried Alive in August 2004 and is eligible for parole in 2009.

an OG doesnt get jerked by his main man and thrown in jail for 10 years, i know it seems messed up, but that just goes to show u dont trust any1 in the rap game. and thats a mistake it'll take 10 years to understand. dont get me wrong, i feel for him, but we have to let it go.

Fuck Puffy/P-Diddy/Sean Combs. Besides Biggie, he has fucked up every other artist that he has by not doing them right. There are people that will SWEAR in court that that bastard paid to get off but let Shyne get the blame.
