« on: June 17, 2005, 01:34:14 PM »

Southern Hip-Hop has truly come a long way. At one point, it seemed as though New York and Cali was the only breeing ground for hot talent! Throughout the past decade, various emcees hailing from the southern states have proven that theory wrong. Next on the list to add his flavor to the already stuffed pot is Webbie! Webbie comes straight out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Rolling with Trill Entertainment, has has spent the past few years lacing tracks with the likes of Lil Boosie. Webbie's upcoming debut album, the appropriately titled Savage Life, is expected to drop in July 2005. "Everything I rap about is my life," explains Webbie. "It's like 'thug life,' but I call it 'Savage Life'. I don't know what I'd be doing if I wasn't rapping." Peep our exclusive interview with the young rhyme slinger below.
