Who has gone platinum? Mike Jones! Who? Mike Jones!!! In less than two months, the debut release from Houston-based Mike Jones titled Who Is Mike Jones? has been RIAA CERTIFIED PLATINUM. The album debuted #3 on Billboards's "Top 200" and #1 on Billboard’s “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums” and “Top Rap Albums” charts. It continues to sell more than 40,000 copies a week.

“It feels good, I’m blessed. Thanks to God and my fans, I’m successful. This is a dream come true, I’ve been working on getting to this level for 4 years now, so, to me, it didn’t happen over night. I’ve been grinding for a while which makes landing at the top of the charts and going platinum sweeter. If you don’t grind, you don’t shine.“ states Mike Jones.

The rapper, who has taken shameless self promotion to the next level with the incessant repeating of his name and giving out his cell phone number, is currently still moving a good amount of units because of the top 20 hit "Back Then." It is seeing over 12 million in radio audience and was featured on MTV2's "Making the Video."
