I agree.  Nas is ill, and Snoop is too.  But Snoop has always rhymed about havin a good time, and not goin as deep as Nas does.  Nas is iller in my opinion, but Snoop is a MC I'll always support.

snoops exposure back when doggystyle dropped was unlike anything every before - probably not up until eminem was any rapper so well known.

their shit was on entirely different levels. nas was a 'more complete mc' from a lyrical standpoint.. but at the time.. looking at the quality of the product from snoop it simply would have blown nas away if they dropped at the same point in time. snoop waned.. nas rose (then waned) ... etc etc

Why do y'all say Nas would have been forgotten about cuz of Snoop ? Ure comparin a lyrically almost perfect QB masterpiece to an LBC G-Funk classic, sayin one of them wouldn't have gotten props, if they would have both been dropped at the same time. I'm not judgin Nas/Snoop or comparin them, but what makes y'all think two completly different hip hop albums wouldn't (couldn't) have been recognized at the same time ?
