How did my dad afford to buy a nice house in the burbs but yet he was an assistant cashier at the local supermarket.....oh well * goes back to making fun of shawn behind his back about being poor an living in a trailor home*

today houses cost about 10 times what they cost 25 years ago.  my parents paid 30,000 for a house in the late 70's and sold it in the late 90's for roughly 350,000.
