I know you meant favourite. I just wanted to make sure no one that was reading my post thought I was claiming Darkness was the best album. I didn't want to start a debate.


You've never heard of Springsteen? Where do you live and how old are you? He's one of the top 15 selling artists all time domestically.

The Beatles - Abbey Road. Most Beatles fans would disagree with me. I feel that The Beatles were the kind of band that came out with some really rocking music at first, then basically left the music world behind with Rubber Soul, and from then on just kept travelling further and more universally. Abbey Road is in my view the album they fell back to Earth with all their talents intact.

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

I think that's a pretty solid choice. While I put it around 15 on my list a few months back, I'd put it in the top 10 at least for my favourites.

Rock: AC/DC - TNT/Powerage or Led Zeppelin - II
Metal: Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power or Metallica - Master of Puppets
Slower: Jeff Buckley - Grace or Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
Release of 2005 - Beck - Guero .. Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze or Common - Be

I don't really listen to dance but if i had to list one i would have probably put Prodigy - Fat of the Land.

Runner Up: "Chronic"

Those are the albums that changed the way I looked at hip-hop. They were so well mixed. They made hardcore westcoast gangsta rap sound like a polished diamond. Off the hook.
