people seem to get mixed up ras kass yeah lyrically but never overall same with em just cos someone good at 1 thing doesnt make them the best

The obvious...  ;D I just never really felt Big L and GZA that much. I'm guessing its about easy listening... They're too complex to just put on and chill to.

GZA I can see, but Big L consists of a bunch of punchlines and doubles ("gat spit", "wack shit", "backflip", "attack kids" etc)...donīt get me wrong, he was a fucking hell of an MC and the best ever at that style, but I donīt see how it should be "too complex"

Oh well, the complexity mainly goes for GZA.. You really gotta pay close attention to what he's saying to really enjoy the music. I just don't always feel like listening that closely. A similar thing goes for Big L, he's not the type of rapper I'd put on for any mood. You really got to be in the right mood and right situation for listening to his music. Not really that complex, but still, not a rapper to just chill to.

Rakim, Ras Kass, and 92-95, 99 kurupt. I guessing when u guys say skills you guys are talking about battle capabilites, multi's, wordplay, and punchlines. Xzibit and several underground west coast mcs I believe can go here as well. I would like to say kool g rap, but I never heard any of his music.
