Try again.
I had the same opinion after first listen, but I'm digging it now.

Feeling all these tracks:

01 The Day After (feat. Syleena Johnson)          2:49
02 Check That Hoe                                 3:30
04 Get It How You Live                            4:01
05 Lavish (feat. Pharell)                         3:42
07 Do Wrong (feat. Lil' Kim)                      4:00
08 Heartbeat                                      3:00
09 Holding Down The Game                          4:24
11 So Lonely (feat. Mariah Carey)                 3:51
14 I'm A Winner                                   4:20
15 Hit The Floor (feat. Pitbull)                  3:38

If they release the Mariah track as a single, it's a wrap.
Should have been the first single if they want to sell some records.

09 Holding Down The Game <<-- Slowed down Twista on the last verse sounds funny..  :D

Kamikaze was a move to the mainstream for Twista, but it was still tite for a mainstream album.  This just sucks.

For those who are wondering where the promo for the album is...the album leaked almost 2 months early. Expect some changes on the retail. The single, Girl Tonite, is getting a lot of play.

But I am very disappointed with this CD. I know what Twista can do and The Day After is like 5 steps back from Kamikaze, and that was was even a couple steps back from his norm. He just isn't ripping tracks like he used to.

not too sure about getting this, he went soft on the last album.
True and he doesnt have the legendary traxter or tracmaster wat ever his name is producing on this. He s the one that produced his old skool hits like adreniline rush and that track kill us all on kamakaze. They produce fire. Im gonna check it out but im not thinkin that its gonna be a classic twista album.

It reminds me a lot of a Fabolous album.
