i have a problem with people that don't like kam.

kam spits real shit, meaningful shit.  without question my favorite song of all time (trust nobody) and some of the most meaningful songs i've ever heard are kam tracks.

it's one thing to disagree with whether battlecat or dj quik is the best producer in the game.  or whether ras kass or crooked i is the dopest lyricist in the game or something.  to each their own.  but to not like kam in many ways goes beyond simple musical preference; and becomes an issue of people not appreciating, or even opposing: meaningful, substantive ideas that i embrace, emulate, aspire to, and associate myself with.

I don't like Game.I just don't think he's that talented :-\

agree

is Game is the West's saviour (as some people seem to think) then the West is in trouble
Always talkin bout the cash he got, the little pesos for shows
And God knows his materialistic raps and wack flows
are like Stay Free pads, fake V.I.P. rappers get garbage disposed
Unrecouped for his flamboyance and reflection
He's leasin rentin and frontin

I could never really get into Caz.  Some of his features are cool, and I like a couple of his songs, I just gotta take his music in small doses.

I'm gettin a little tired of Suga Free too.

When I think about it, I probably wouldn't like a lot of rappers as human beings, simply because entertainers in general (not just them) are often arrogant and self-indulgent by the time they reach the top.  On the other hand, hip-hop has always been an ego-driven genre, so egotism really runs particularly rampant in a culture where it's practically encouraged.  Many of my favorite West Coast rappers (Snoop, Warren G, Ice Cube, WC, Above The Law, South Central Cartel, Boo Yaa TRIBE, Knock-Turn'al) are probably cats I could never get along with in real life.

On the other hand, I often think I could have gotten along very well with Pac, because he's introspective, exactly how I view myself.  Even though he had bouts of serious egotism, self-pity, and narcissism, he always comes across in his records as a very kind and thoughtful guy at heart.  Just got too tripped up in a foolish image of something he wasn't.
