Let's face it after watching ten games , it's still the same conclusions : outside Kobe, we are VERY weak; the passing game is inexistant and don't blame Kobe for taking too much shots , others aren't taking responsabilities and are lost.

I just can't immagine this team being forced to play with Kobe injured and sidelined. In the Overtime, Kobe was stopped and had just 1 point. Other teammates were able to make just 4 points in 12'! Embarassing. Lakers needs 46 points performances by Kobe and his fantastic work on defence against Carter to stay on the same level of New Jersey. Without him they're a lottery team. Wait: they already are!

Quote
Odom is a fuckin joke,  keep shooting the 3 (whereas he's horrible at it) and has no mid-range shoot . He needs to Post Up and attack the arc, it's the only way he can score . We ain't gonna win more than 35-38 games (unless a trade follows but I really doubt it). Please don't tell me I'm not a Lakers fan , I'm just realistic.

Welcome to the "you ain't a real Laker" Nik's world.

ok that game vs new jersey was one of the ugliest games ive ever seen, New Jersey is a SHIITTTYY team, I mean they gave the lakers so many chances and breaks, if the nets were playing against detriot they would have been blown out by +40 on a night like this. SOMEHOW the lakers managed to perform worse than the nets which is mind boggling, wow.... I think the problem is that the lakers have no chemistry what so ever.

Bosh mum on talk of contract

Chris Bosh yesterday again deflected any contract talk, saying he wants to see how things go this season before he figures out if Toronto is the place for him in the long term.

"If we play well and win, things will be taken care of," he said.   (LOL GOOD LUCK WITH THAT,HE'LL BE A LAKER IN 2007 8))

And what if the team only wins 10 games all season?

"It can't happen," Bosh replied with a steely stare. "It's not going to happen. That's impossible in my mind."

Bosh is signed with the Raptors through the 2006-2007 season.

Kobe would still have to jack up forty shots a game for the Lakers to have a chance because Bosh would be dominate.

the problem with that lakers is kobe is takin too many shots. Not only too many shots but a lot of bad shots. If Kobe would share the ball a Little more we would be a lot better. Look what they did in that first half against utah when they were sharing the ball. In the second half kobe was takin a lot of shot most of them bad ones and we gave up the lead.

Kobe has to stop forcing shots. Everytime he does that, bad things happen.

The saddest truth is that if Kobe shoots like that, Lakers loose. If Kobe doesn't shoot, Lakers loose. We're fucked up. Against New Jersey Kobe did 1 point in OT. The other teammates combined made 3 shots, 4 points. Embarassing. It's not that the other teammates ain't getting the ball: it's more like other teammates are sharing the ball too much! When Odom makes 8 shots in 48 mins you can't blame Kobe. You gotta blame Odom. Same with the other guys.

^ You got a point but its like Barkley said that the other players cant get in rhytnm because they dont get enough shots. You have to admit that Kobe is takin a lot of bad shots and forcing the issue. That is why Phil benched him for some of the third quarter. There is no reason he should be shootin a three in transition when you have a double digit lead. To me it seems that Kobe is tryin to score too much and he is makin a lot of stupid decisoins.

If you talk about the last game in particular, then i agree. But if you talk in general, i don't.
Kobe averaged 29.4 shots in the 8 games Lakers lost. He averaged 29.7 shots in the 6 games Lakers won.
It's not that if he shoots too much Lakers loose.
The problems is Odom having embarassing % from 2 and 3 points.
The problem is Brown averaging the same points of Cook.
The problems is we miss a 2nd scorer to take some pressure off Kobe.
That's the problem.

Yeah I know. They were up 18 and still lost. >:( However the scoring was really balanced for once. Lamar & Smush actually had more points than Kobe. :o

Lakers shoulda pulled off a win tonite..i thought it wud be a close game and with the Lakers up double figures there was nowhere to go but downhill...Odom had an all around good game but KG was unstoppable at the end..they gotta find a way to hold on to the lead

bobcats up next..shud be a good game..

Lamar Odom: 8 points in almost 47', 1-11 from 2pts, 0-4 from 3pts.
Trade him.

Why is it that you never post up positives? Like Lamar's last 5 games, 4 of them have been really good games and only 1 has been sub-par...Out of all those games, you've chosen to post up the numbers to his worst game. May I ask you why or how you consider yourself a fan?

I dont even consider him a "Lakers Fan"........Hes quicker to trash the laker players in his posts than to point out anything good.  I would say hes just a fan of Kobe.

People need to realize that Odom is just not that good, plain and simple. Those Laker fans talk shit about players sometimes.. it's not even funny. Just cause some player had  some good games in his career doesnt NOOOOOOOOOOT mean that he could bring that shit every night if he would just live up to his full potential. Most of the time, this player is just not that good. It's plain normal that players have better and worse nights, faggots. Don't act like he just didnt live up to shit on the the worse nights, while he played normal on the better nights. That's just not right. I haven't said nothing for long but now it's starting to piss me off. Odom is just not THAT good, for chrissakes. People act like he should be to Kobe what Kobe was to Shaq. LMAO. HE'S JUST NOT AS GOOD AS KOBE WAS DAMMIT. You expect too much of Odom, and too much of your team. You just ain't that good.

You're right...Career numbers of 16 points, 8.4 Rebound, 4.4 Assists, 1 steal, 1.10 blocks is not good. Not to mention that he's currently averaging a double-double...The Lakers, even with Kobe and Shaq, have almost always started slow and have taken time to adjust...I want to wait until AT LEAST all-star break until I can get a good idea of what position they will be in come playoff time...For now, I am a fan, so I believe they can do a lot once they learn how to all play together under Phil's system...I am not dreamy, but yes, I am an optimist, which is part of being a fan, I believe...PeACe

Kobe takes 16 shots, Lakers lose...

"Kobe shooting too much is bad" theory = shot-down
