Well shit, Minnesota did even worse last night against the Jazz when they were at home compared to when they were away at Utah on Friday.  Hopefully the Jazz lose against Memphis.

I'm not arguing, but why would that secure the 7th seed?  The wins and losses would be tied (45-37 for both if the Lakers win), both teams would be 2-2 against each other, and doesn't the Southwest divison rank higher?

because it goes by a.records against eachother and then b.records again division opponents, and lakers have a better record against division opponents than houston.
