Well, it is basically a "gangsta" movie, it has a hip-hop soundtrack, and Queen Latifah, Dr. Dre, and WC are all in it.  Sounds like a "hip-hop" movie to me.

This movie's aiight, seeing women with big gats is always cool to me.

Well, it is basically a "gangsta" movie, it has a hip-hop soundtrack, and Queen Latifah, Dr. Dre, and WC are all in it.  Sounds like a "hip-hop" movie to me.

Krush Groove and Breakin are hip hop movies. Set It Off is just a movie that has rappers in it.

OK, so it's not a movie about hip-hop.  But it can certainly be called a "gangsta" movie, and gangsta flicks are usually associated with hip-hop.  So it's a movie with hip-hop/urban sensibilities, if nothing else.
