Once again the gang over at Fortress DVD has blessed us with another quality release, this time they take us into the world of Xzibit, Krondon, Phil Da Agony & Mitchy Slick, as the Strong Arm Steady Gang. This release is the latest in DVD's from the company that brought us in-depth documentaries from Kurupt, DJ Quik, Xzibit, The Outlawz, The Alkaholiks and most recently the WC DVD! For those of you who own one of these releases you will be familiar with Fortress DVD's unique insight into the artist and their lives. Well this DVD is no different, they take us behind the scenes of the group with all access, uncut footage of them in the studio, on the streets, on-stage, backstage, where they go - the camera follows!

The DVD is, as others, linked together by clips of interviews with each artist one on one with the camera, it delivers a great insight to each artist and their take on each other.

The DVD pulls together every aspect of the artists day-to-day life in hip-hop and twists it with the reality of life in general, we see life in South Central with Krondon & Mitchy Slick takes us through San Diego while Phil Da Agony shows us around his neighbourhood, Crescent Heights.

Now although the DVD provides a serious reality of growing up and life in general the artists provide some great entertainment, as in previous DVD's, especially Xzibit's "Restless Exposed," the release is filled with jokes and skits which really capture the chemistry the group has together as homies as well as part of a group.

Throughout the release we see an array of artists, with many featured showing support for Strong Arm Steady, some include : Busta Rhymes, Tha Liks, Dilated Peoples, Sir Jinx, WC, Ice-T, Talib Kweli, Cypress Hill, Big Boy & Fuzzy of Power 106 and more!

The release shows the group on-stage and backstage at Smokeout and at the U.C Riverside as well as SAS on the streets giving away mixtapes, getting themselves heard and putting in the promotional work themselves. It really shows how much effort is put into getting the music heard. Much respect to them, they deserve every success - it truly shows the love for the music and their dedication.
