ENVY EXPO (LOS ANGELES CONVENTION CENTER) | (July 8th 2006)

    Dubcnn was present at the first annual Envy Expo on Saturday, July 8th the Los Angeles Convention Center. Host of Sirius Satellite's Westside Hype Show and The Game's DJ, DJ Skee, presented Los Angeles with a look into all things that are envied: Women, Cars, Jewels, Sports, Shoes and Music. Event Report

Saturday, July 8th the Los Angeles Convention Center was green with Envy. Host of Sirius Satellite's Westside Hype Show and Game's DJ, DJ Skee, presented Los Angeles with a look into all things that are envied: Women, Cars, Jewels, Sports, Shoes and Music. As you can expect, the Models were banging. The Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Four wheelers, even boats were all tricked out. The Jewelry was very icy. Street ballers from all around were hoopin' it up and Mitchy Slick, Glasses Malone, Damani, GLC, Omar Cruz and The Game lit up the stage. A very good event that was both peaceful and productive in promoting the Hip Hop Culture as a whole.

Legendary Tatooist, Mr. Cartoon brought the whips out specifically for this event. If you were at the event and were looking for stars, the SA Studios booth was packed with em. From BYI Entertainment to Angeles Records' own DJ Muggs and Chace Infinite, they were all there. Also in the house was Joel and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, Sick Jacken of Psycho Realm/Street Platoon, Krondon, Phil Da Agony, Baron Davis, Esteban Oriol, Kam, BIAS, and many more.

Each performer had something special about their set, but the most notable would be Omar Cruz. In his first performance in front of a Los Angeles crowd, the BYI Ent./Geffen/Interscope artist treated the audience to banging live renditions of "Cops Gang Bang" and "We Rydaz." He even had a few words for T.I. in regards to what he said about Immigrants needing to go back to their country. Overall it was a good event that L.A. needed. We can only hope it continues on to a series of shows that can only get better.
