Javier Clemente hits out at Eto'o

Athletic Bilbao coach Javier Clemente has hit out at Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o for spitting.

The Cameroon international striker spat at Unai Exposito in the closing stages of Barca's 2-1 win on Sunday night, in what proved a bad tempered affair.

Tempers had flared in the closing stages at Camp Nou when Bilbao's Carlos Gurpegi incensed Deco after he claimed the Portuguese striker had dived.

Deco reacted to Gurpegi's allegations by pulling his hair and was duly sent off, which resulted in all the players coming together - prior to Eto's spit at Exposito.

"Deco should be more of a gentleman. Grabbing someone's shirt is worse than tugging someone's hair, spitting is ugly behaviour as well," said Clemente.

"I thought it was what people who had just come down out of the trees did."
