The DOC - Helter Skelter
« on: March 17, 2002, 05:02:47 PM »
With Deuce coming out next month I  picked up this album today to get ready. Its pretty tight. If only he had his voice. Its messed up that he got into that accident. He would be a legend by now but he's still tight.

To the peeps who have this album, what do y'all think?

I feel bad for the DOC.  I have that album, and it's painful to listen to it (that's why I rarely listen 2 it) because of how fucked up his voice is, and what he could have been if he wasn't in that accident.

Yea.. sad what happened to his voice.  It seems that he wasn't as confident back then when he recorded Heltah Skeltah but with Deuces, he sounds alot more grounded and ready to rock the raspy voice.  Props.

D.O.C. drink-drove in one hell of a speed. The car crashed, D.O.C. went through the rear (!!!) window, thrown on the road, rolled around, and basically, it's a miracle that he's still alive. He was on the operating-table for 20 hours or so, but they managed to rescue him.
