he didnt explain it to well...basically he said that he was really stressed out and people were laughing at him, not with him and that all he needed was some love from his family and friends and they werent there.... he also hinted that he felt like a sellout, he said some other stuff too but he really doesn't know how 2 say what he iz felling, u could tell dude had some thing on his mind but he just didn't know how 2 express it verbally.

His trip to Africa was a spiritual journey.  He went there to get away from the distractions and refocus his energy and efforts towards Allah.  Chappelle is a Muslim, and not only is he a Muslim, but his mom also converted to Islam, and he has two brothers that are excellent Muslims.  One Muslim from my own community that mentors alot of young guys like myself, does alot of travelling and he has spent time with Chappelle's brothers before, while he was with Chappelle's brothers (around the time Chappelle did "Men In Tights") his brothers informed him that their brother David was struggling to improve in the religion; but that ultimately he was sincere.  Infact my friend knows the scholar that Chappelle was spending time with in South Africa.
