good running team. imagine a 3 man fastbreak with Van Exel, Kobe, and Eddie Jones. Good to have Rodman in there seeing as how he never wanted to shoot anyways. Cus they wouldnt be able to handle another guy who wanted the ball on every play lol

at that time tho, i would have wanted Rice over Jones. Jones was still inconsitent as and outside shooter back then, and they had no real shooters in their starting lineup. Rice was an all star, and actually a solid player back then. When he was in Charlotte he was huge.

LOL. Rice was at the end of his career when he came to the Lakers...He was not all-star caliber anymore. He was a role player...I mean, come on, where is Rice now? Last I heard of him, he got cut from the Clippers...Eddie Jones was entering his prime when he was traded, and he's still going strong...It coulda' been even better than it was...PeACe

lol i just like to see u go in circles man. when i criticized Lakers front office for moves made with Shaq u say how brilliant they are and how they know what theyre doing and how to make a champion. But, when you criticize them...its ok.

They were right.". But when we talk about something like this, it isnt the front office anymore who made the decision...its "Shaq forced him out".

Hell, he carried that control to Miami and got Van Gundy out the picture, just like he wanted. Whats so hard to see? Shaq wanted a huge contract extension and demanded a trade if he couldn't get it. LOL. The trade was wonderful, especially since Shaq hasn't been the same since 2002. Come on, man...Lakers are one of the greatest franchises ever. It's almost as if he was a control freak...Why do you think his ego was getting so bruised when Kobe started taking over things? I dont watch Fox West, I compile opinions based on facts I see for myself. Shaq is simply not a premier superstar anymore...He can't be in total control anymore, he's not good enough (u know...like Kobe). But you know he goes around Miami tryna make it his city and shit by sucking everyones dick just like he used to here...he knows he cant do it as a player, he uses the media for that shit...You think Wade has as much say as Shaq? my point is, the only one it seems made a push to be "the man" on a team, was Kobe. Shaq isnt in a situation where he's the lone star with all the spotlight. Hes part of a team where the leaguewide opinion is, Wade is the leader of. If Shaq had this huge ego about being the main man, he'd try to get out of Miami and to a team where he would be that. Like Kobe is. Kobe is MORE then happy to have Shaq gone, and have ALL the spotlight to himself. My opinion of Kobe is that he'd rather be considered one of the greatest of all time, even if he has to be part of a losing team to get that attention. Instead of winning more championships, and sharing the spotlight/numbers to do it. U can argue that u dont agree, thats fine. But u cant prove it.
