Nas MTV Diary
« on: March 06, 2002, 05:00:24 PM »
Did anyone watch this? It was real good. Nas seem like a real down to earth brother. My respect for him has increased. He went to Queens Bridge to his old room and shit. He signed a gang of autographs and even this lil' kid got an autograph who was in a Roc-A-Fella jacket hehe. The video for "One Mic" looks amazing. I can't wait for that shit.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

it was cool to see Nas singing those old school songs, its always neat to see rappers singing that old school songs, like snoop did on the up in smoke tour dvd with those marvin gaye songs.  I find it neat to see that they  don't always act hardcore, and that they like a lot of different types of music.  Tupac was the same way.  He liked music varying from sarah mcglacklan (spelling?) to beethoven. It shows a lot of the rappers as human beings, and not just as gang bangers...peace

WORD! That's why my respect for the N-A-S has gone up. He acted like a real person instead of putting on a front. He sang to the song without caring what peeps would think. Some idiots on SOHH said they turned the TV off when they saw Nas sing. What fucking morons!!!

Damn, thats ignorant as hell. Even though I personally don't listen to much outside hip-hop I respect other peoples tastes. They seem very closed minded over there  :P

No these were Nas fans who turned off the TV because Nas was singing and wasn't putting up a front pretending to be serious all the time. They couldn't believe that he actually sings oldies.
