wack as fuck? The beat by Quik was a little dissapointing to me. It was great to hear Rakim, but Truth Hurts ruins any chance of this song sounding decent. I don't know why Dre wants to waste his time with this act when he could have worked on and put out a classic by Rakim, or (even though I think he's an average rapper at best) put out Hittman's album instead. Truth Hurts doesn't appeal to me, and I'm sure many of u as well (although since some of you like everything Dr. Dre touches, you'll probably think it's the shit). My prediction for Truth Hurts album is it is going to flop big time (like The Wash soundtrack) unless she gets on MTV, which I highly doubt.
Well I hope your not giving up on her after once song from her album. Y'all didn't feel "Benefit Of The Doubt"? I just think it will be real interesting to hear her album.
Man , fuck this shit ..........this song is incredible . i took world music in college and was very intrigued by music of india and other middle east countries . then i hear this quik beat and im like >>> and truth hurts fuckin kills it !! her sound and voice is in a league of its own . which could be a bad thing because people might not be ready for it !! do yall wanna keep hearin these same old piece of shit R&B joints with Destiny Child beats and some bitch singin about payin her bills or her baby daddy or scrubs and pigeons ? how bout that "neo-soul" erika badu , jill scott shit ? which personally puts me to SLEEP!its all about takin this music thing to another level . i remember mellowman stating in one of Dr.Dre Detox posts .......... " YOU WANNA HEAR THE SOUND OF THE FUTURE .......... COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE .......... IF NOT STAY IN THE PAST "The future is upon us
