I'm feelin this for the main reason that it's different.  I'm tired of a lot of the R & B out there now.  This song's different, and I'm feelin it.  I'm thinkin those of you that don't like it now, will like it soon.

its not awful... rakim comes tight - i think the quality makes the beat sound worse than it is.

I just think some of y'all got to get used to Quik's new style. I remember when ''2001'' came out, I thought Dre was whack as fuck. A few months later it ended up being one of my fav. albums to bump. As for the singin', well.......I wasn't too impressed with it. ;D

I would agree with you if you where referring to his new shit.  I.E. Trouble.  (Str8 heat)

But this beat is recycled.  Check homies post above.  He pointed out that Quik used an earlier version of this same beat on AMG's last album which I think is MUCH better.

IMO, this song wouldn't be considered a good example of Quiks new production style.

God, you are so right on.  I've finally figured it out!!!
It's her, "Taylor Dane" like brutness that I hate..

Man.. you helped me pin point why the fuck I hate her voice.  Shes too agressive.  Ruff bitchs turn niggaz off.  When I see or happen to over hear em in the streets.. I be like uuuhhhhh, funky, loud ass trick's!

I've only heard the song once so far, and it is different.  I think Dre should of handled the first single, cause he could of made her a hit easily.  Give it a few more listens guys, shit can grow on you.

I like the beat by Quik it's some different type of shit from him no doubt...That Indian chanting is kinda tight...I heard that song he sampled from...I don't think Truth Hurts is anything special but I have to hear more tracks...

First Off, I find it incredibly shallow of you, to bitch at me, when you're a one track macine, dogg.  ALL you listen to is rap, and somebody like quik comes along and throws some wack eastern loop, 2 seconds, into a song, and you act like it's the second coming.  If you'd listen to 1 eastern song, anything, just 1, you'd see that what he did was the equivalant of a country song saying "peeps' in the song, and calling it 'rap influenced'.

Why are you so bitter?  That's my fu*king opinion, and yes, you did offend me.  No offense, but you need to mature musically.  The beat sucks, I personally can do better.  Yes, I said it.  The singing sucks, I personally can do better.  Rakim sounds alright, but even he doesn't add anything new.  You say it's 'new' but it's not.  Quik should stick to what he knows, because this isn't helping his case.  I'm all for growth, and changing the game, but this is the typical crap Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot are famous for; making a song that's 'different', then expecting people to call it classic.

And how dare you say something about who I listen to musically; you think you can judge me because of some stuff I told you over IM?  Dogg, you don't know me!  I've listened to other stuff my entire life, and rap intertwined with it.  My OPINION is that rap is falling behind in the game, and songs like this, in MY OPINION suck.

And that comment about me not listening to rap; I do, but I'm sorry to say I don't listen to your savior Tupac, or Dr. Dre talking about his 8 inch dick.  That's fine if you do, but I'd rather listen to a song with something to say.  I copped Warren G's last album, I copped Snoop's last album, I copped the De La Soul Album, I copped the bones soundtrack (which was some inventive stuff), I copped Nate Dogg's album (dissapointing)...

Again, you don't know me, and it's my opinion.  Keep the personal stuff to yourself, why do you want to tell everybody my business on the board like a little bitch?  I tell you my thoughts on music, and my favorite bands, and My feelings about things, we talk about religion, and now you wanna pull my card because we disagree on a song?  Get Real, Grow Up, and Mature.   Maybe you're a slave to your anger, but you shouldn't mention that stuff in public as criteria of whether I have the right to have an opinion about a song.  What a dick.  Man, you just pissed me off... where the hell do you get off, man?  It's called Respect, and next time I tell you some stuff in private, keep it that way.
