I remember Battle Toads though. My friend had it we would try to beat it but it never happened.

and since we're talking sega: Bubble Bobble! Kicked ass in 2player mode! I actually found it again on an arcade-machine on a bar when i was in denmark 3- years ago... that bar became OUR spot, me and my brother took all the high-scores 8)
Golden Eye for n64... probably the greatest multiplayer game ever!

yeah that game was hard as fuck I remember renting it for a week when I was 9 and I turned it in early because it was too hard to beat.
