Yall in this forum need to stop bein so sensitive about Bay Area rap. So E-40 does not sound like everyone else in LA. 40 water is a innovative dictionary. Without him, speaking would be hella boring. And you can't compare a man that has been in rap as long as 40 water to crunk. He has been in the game longer than crunk. And the bay aint just 40, the bay has lyricists (Yuk, Luniz, Zion I), hyphy (federation) political rappers (coup, 2pac) and so much more so you can't put the bay in just one category. str8 hustling and the most diverse region of hip hop on the map in my opinion.

if the bay was blowing up, you'd be selling platinum records.

if the bay was blowing up, people would know who your artist are. other than e40, nobody knows anybody from the bay outside of the bay.

1. I ain't from the Bay, I am from Vegas.  I am a fan of everything

2. My point about the post is it is all west coast music. Everyone does not have to like it, true, but it seems like everyone is complaining because bay area music does not sound like something else. Except that it is different.

3. I did not even mention 40's new album. You need to read the post before you get hyped up about "sonning me" on something. But since you asked I think it is not his best album but it does have some good tracks.

4. Pac was not from the Bay, true. He was from the east coast to be specific, but when he was alive and supporting the Bay, nobody would even be having this discussion, it would be all Cali music. Since when is the Bay not Cali?

With only have a few artists on major labels, for MTV to take notice of their movement, it does show that the Bay is making noise... More so than L.A. And I'm from L.A. People who dislike the Bay are gonna knock it, but it's the truth. L.A. ain't where it should be... The Bay is. So yes, the Bay is coming up.

you make a topic about federation or andre nickatina and u barely get 3 replies, it's sad because bay has a lot of talent and there are plenty of people making non-hyphy music (since everyone on here is hating on hyphy sound)
