how do i find an average, i highlighted a whole column, and i wanted to know the average of all the numbers

should just be =AVERAGE(B2..B10) or whatever it is u have selected.

in the cell type

=AVERAGE(B2..B10)

but like I say you will have to change the B2..B10 to suit your own situation.
