Because we are repped by the Dodgers, not Angels. Angels are from Anaheim and their name should rep Anaheim not LA.

Nah man...Angels is Orange County's team. No one in LA gave 2 shits about the Angels until 2002. Before then we were treated like the Clippers. I don't like the name for that reason. I feel the name change kinda disrespects the local Orange County fanbase.

Personally I don't really care about smacking the face of the Dodgers...I'm indifferent to them. Our rivalries are with teams like the A's, Mariners, Yankees, etc.

The name change will give the Angels more revenue and more fans.  L.A is still big enough for both teams, there's still enough left for even a third baseball team
