Man Hogan was my favorite growing up, as a heel he was my favorite also, when he came back to WWF i Marked out like crazy...I CANT STAND THAT DUD ANYMORE.The reality shows, seing him on tv he is so washed up its incredible.

I don't know if we will. Hogan was ten times the star Cena will ever be, and probably 100 times the glutton. Look at Austin; he was arguably as big as Hogan and it hasn't been ten years since he died down and he's all but gone. Cena would need some huge re-inventing to stay relevant as an older man. Hogan and Austin weren't sold as hip to the scene young guys. They were sold as grown man heroes with more hair on their faces than on their heads.
I guess you could use the HBK argument, but he wasn't around these years because of his star power; it was more so because of his talent. A lot of people wanted to see HBK in the ring with today's best wrestlers. Cena is big enough that he can be utilized in some way shape or form well into his 40s, but not to the same extent Hogan had been used in his 40s.
That being said, if this is all leading to a super John Cena heel turn in 10 years nWo style and then maybe it would work absolutely huge. I mean if the UFC keeps getting bigger and the WWE keeps losing PPV buys in 5 to 7 years, Vince grabs two of the bigger UFC names and pays them a boatload to play the outsider angle and Cena plays Hollywood Hulk Hogan, it could really create a buzz. Of course first the UFC has to actually create some stars.
