I remember I couldnt go without a week or two without catching Raw and Smackdown. Then I slowly stopped watching Smackdown because I prefer to enjoy my Friday nights and not sit at home watching B grade wrestling. Now, I'm in class all day on Mondays and I don't get home until Raw is off, but I have no real desire to catch up on it or download it. I haven't watched Raw since Labor Day.

Since Benoit died, everything has been going down the drain. They need another huge star or else they're fucked.

Announcement

We want to begin by thanking the many wonderful WWE fans that we have had the privilege of entertaining over the last eight years. Sharmell and I have enjoyed the opportunity to put smiles on your faces night after night. We also want to thank everyone in the wrestling community for their support of our very own P.W.A. (Pro Wrestling Alliance). The dream of bringing professional wrestling back to my home town of Houston, Texas is coming to fruition, and we have you to thank for it.

I want to address something that has been on my mind for quite some time now in regards to my recent suspension from WWE. I want to state for the record that I was not taking any illegal substance, or anything outside of my physician's care, and that the suspension was unwarranted. However, rather than fight the suspension or publicly voice my discontent, I used this recent hiatus to rest, work with the P.W.A., and reflect on the direction of my career as a professional wrestler. I also, for the record, have never at any time ordered anything from "Signature Pharmacy". This allegation is upsetting, and the careless and slanderous reporting of this matter is currently being addressed by my legal counsel.

I would like to also address any possible rumors or misinformation regarding our release from WWE. I had been unhappy for quite some time with the direction that the Company was going in. In fact, I asked for my release back in July for that very reason. However, after further contemplation, I decided to continue on with WWE because of my passion for this industry and my desire to entertain the fans. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that my unhappiness with my work environment was beginning to take a great toll on other aspects of my life. I knew that it was time to make some extremely tough decisions. Therefore, in the interest of my mental, physical, and spiritual well being, I along with my wife, asked for our release from World Wrestling Entertainment for the second time within months. We were graciously granted our release and we have since amicably parted ways. While the business relationship between ourselves and the WWE has ended, we will continue to be involved in Professional Wrestling. We hope that our loyal fans will follow us as we make this transition.

- In another huge story coming out of WWE, it appears that the SmackDown and ECW brands will be merging to an extent. This comes as a direct result of TV discussions between WWE and NBC/Universal not going so good. WWE and The Sci-Fi Network's deal expires at the end of this year and so far, Sci-Fi has shown signs that they might not re-sign.

Since ECW's premiere on the network in June of 2006, the ratings have dropped from a 2.79 to a 1.1 and 1.2 in the past two weeks, which are bad numbers for Sci-Fi original programming. The ECW program could be considered by some as just a step above Heat or Velocity, as just another C-level show. Bad wrestling and bad booking can obviously be linked to the ratings slump.

Vince McMahon sent out the order on Monday to make the ECW program more appealing to The Sci-Fi Network. The original plan was to just send Kane over to ECW and have him go back to the psycho "See No Evil" persona. Their are creative meetings being planned for Thursday and Friday of this week regarding the merging of the two brands permanently. As previously posted, WWE.com posted storyline messages about meetings between Vickie and Estrada about the brands coming together before ECW went on the air Tuesday.

On Monday, the idea was that ECW head writer Dusty Rhodes and assistant writer Jen Bloodsworth would be in charge of making ECW a success. As of Tuesday, the belief is that Dusty Rhodes and SmackDown writer Michael Hayes are now in charge of the new combined ECW/SD brand. ECW writer Dave Lagana will be losing most of his power outside of actually writing the scripts for the shows. As usual, all things that are talked about are subject to change at any time. One source close to the situation says "you name it, they're considering it right now".
