i dont speculate on things i dont know but there are people on both sides that stand to gain from a conflict between the 2, and ahmadekhar is serving their interests admirably, the americans in particular.

This is exactly the question I have posed before tech I to have my deep suspicions about this President. The CIA has basically controlled the middle east for at least the last half century after all it was the CIA which taught the egyptian secuity services how to torture effectively and without leaving too many tell tale signs of torture. Its the CIA that has controlled Iraq and installed Hussein into power, playing him when they gave him permission to invade Kuwait only then masquerading as the saviours of the world when they talked about liberating Kuwait from this monster. It's entirely plausible that he is simply another puppet of the CIA. Although again he did say that if Israel abandon its massive arsenal of nuclear weapons it would abandon nuclear energy, but because Israel control the U.S and not the other way round it is rejected out of hand as ridiculous wtf.
