I know Boris Diaw as improved a lot this year...
But why not Parker???  Just check his stats from last year...

BTW I think Raja Bell can also be a contender...

Sucks that Smush isn't considered a candidate, but what do you guys expect, he's a Laker...I gaurantee you that he'd win it if he was playing on the Heat or something. ::)

As for who I like from the candidates...It's tough, but I'd have to go with David West. He wasn't playing in a stat-inflating system and went from a 6-4 average to a 17-8. Smush went from playing 16 games for 2 different teams with an average of 9 minutes and 3 points to starting all 82 games for the Los Angeles Lakers with an average of 33 minutes, 11.5 points (45% FG, 37% 3FG), 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1.7 steals...What sounds better to you?

there are many players who improved considerably. mike james is one of them that wasnt named yet. smush isnt 1 of the main contenders because in the past the teams didnt give a shit about him and he got no minutes, he wasnt worse than now, the teams just didnt give a shit about him. now that he starts and gets his minutes, of course his numbers get better, lol

For sure, 13/6/6...That's a damn good stat line, he was part of the reason for the Suns doing just as well without Amare

No one on the Suns should win it...I mean, statistically they have 3 or 4 contenders, but that's due to the fact that they're playing in a stat-inflating system...Just think about it, Brian Cook would probably average as much or more points than Boris Diaw on the Suns...It's not fair, raising your stats by going from a CBA reject to starting 82 games for a legendary franchise is wayyyy better than raising your stats by playing for a team that's gunna get you a lot of open looks.

exactly! if you go to phoenix, you're gonna average double digit points because nash's style of play is to set his team-mates up for open shots. and if you shoot 9 three pointers a night, you're gonna eventually make em
