iPod help...
« on: May 14, 2006, 01:45:24 PM »
For whatever reason, when I hook my iPod to my PC, all I get is the "Do Not Disconnect" message on my iPod screen.  Shit never goes away.  Any suggestions?

i dunno, thats what happens to me, it doesnt matter . just dont directly disconnect the transfer cable from the computer. first go to itunes
and then press the eject button next to the ipod icon in the left part. and then your ipod will go back to normal

It has never froze up.  It sometimes randomly shuts off, but I just have to turn it back on and it will work fine.  But now that I want to update it with songs, all it does is recharge and says do not disconnect.  I could leave it there all day and it will act like its still updating.

so when you want to update it with songs does it

A: update the songs, but after it says its done on the computer, it still says "do not disconnect" on the ipod
B: does not update the songs at all, and just says "do not disconnect"

sounds to me like it may be your computer rather than the iPod

my computer did this when it was really fucked up with viruses and shit...

u should get somethin fixed cuz I think if u keep forcing the iPod to do that shit it will start to freeze up and get bad

Yeah I'm thinkin I have to have a virus or 2.  Any suggestions?  I have Norton, but I know that doesn't stop everything.
