Earlier this week, Nas was on the Funkmaster Flex Show on Hot97 and spoke about The Roots. He claimed they contradicted themselves by "...coming into the game disrespecting the culture that Biggie and Mobb Deep was representing; in your video 'What They Do' and now you're jocking the bandwagon..." He also questioned the Roc-A-Fella movie and group, State Property. "...Brothers making movies called State Property. We're not state property. It's a shame. It's ignorant. It's wrong. Straight up, we're God's Property and went you got a movie and you're shooting off your own people every five minutes like it's Bout It, Bout It 2. We been past that era already. It's time to have some real music step up and not just kiss ass because this guys selling records..."
