Smooth Bay Area CDs - recommendations?
« on: May 17, 2006, 11:30:42 AM »
I've been bumping two top Bay Area CDs from 1995 today - Rappin' 4-Tay's Off Parole and The Fast 1's Down 4 Tha Cause. I'm lovin' that sound from the Bay - really smooth, almost R&B, kinda G-funk-ish.

Can anyone recommend me some other CDs that have that sound? Nothing 'gangsta', just that smooth summertime sound like 'Off Parole'... any advice gratefully received :)

Pick up that The Team "World Premier". Alot of bass, but 90% of the tracks are funky & smooth and its not gangsta at all. U will not be sorry for buying this joint.

The Jackas Jack Artist is a great mellow, laid back CD as well but the content is straight gangsta
