Don't know how to play piano, keyboard, organ, anything. Never made a beat or even seen the process of it. Borrowed this for 2 weeks, wondering if I should buy it. I can get it for $140 Canadian. Good deal?

Yeap. Now get a good soundcard and some decent software and you're ready to rock.

If you're curious, this is what I ended up making for my first beat. Took me two days. My friend says it sounds like "Michael Jackson on acid". That sums it up pretty well.

First is the beat, second two are raps over Ansane beats.

Alright, I gave back the borrowed keyboard, and went to go buy myself one. Turns out, another M-Audio keyboard was on sale. Only this was a Radium 49 key keyboard.

I got this for only $10 more than I would've paid for the 25 key. I'd say that was a pretty good deal.

Same thing, just in 49 key. 29 on bottom, 20 on top.
