Noble Animals
Trauma-san:
I've been reading this stuff about Barbaro, the horse that injured himself in that race a few days ago, and it just reminded me of how Noble and courageous some animals seem to be. This fucking horse was undefeated in all of it's races, and was the bloodline of champions. He won the Kentucky Derby, and was racing at another race last week. The horse was so fucking ready to outrun the other horses, he ran into the starting gate (although he didn't injure himself there), and then when the race started, he misstepped in the dirt and broke his leg. Even though the horse's foot went out from under him, he stumbled and veered wildly... but didn't even fall down with the jockey on his back! It's fucking incredible. The horse started shaking his leg trying to get it together, then broke it in two more places. The jockey jumped down off the horse and started trying to calm it down, but the horse is still all excited and trying to run even though his leg is obviously destroyed and he's gotta be in immense pain. The trainer gets down to the field, and the trainer and the jockey are crying trying to calm the horse down... the horse is just standing there shaking his leg wondering what's going on. They bring out a horse ambulance (no shit), ... everybody thinks the horse is going to freak out, but he just trots up into the ambulance like nothing's wrong.
They take him into surgery, and do their best to save his life... the surgeon says it's one of the worst shattered ankles he's ever seen. The horse wakes up and trots back to his stall, then jumps up and down (on a fucking cast!) when he gets to the stall. What a remarkably brave horse.

Who told you gambling is illegal in America? Or did you mean gambling on horses (which isn't illegal)?
