Pac's motive from the video i saw that his body guard made about him when he said "i'm through will thug life"  is that he was sick of people using the word thug life wrong in the white media and not understanding what it meant, so he dropped it completly, then for some reason he went back to it (and why not )

so that's why he was probably pissed at mobb deep , he thought of them as little kids who were trying to emulate thug life wrong [and who can blame him when you see early mobb deep, that ain't a diss but you gotta see were pac is coming from] and totally mix up the message behind it , he got at nas for the same thing too , pac was sick of saying thug life and having people taking it the wrong way then trying to emulate it the opposite of what it's really suppose to mean , i think it was more frustration than anything, becuase if you ever saw pac talking about the media that's one of the first things he'd mention that he's pissed about, the twisting of thug life

Hit 'Em Up murdered anything Biggie would have put out in response, but since Mobb Deep was not the target, they got off easy. 'Pac had a very vast arsonal to chose from in his rhyming scheme, topics, what not. Runnin' On E was to Mobb Deep, that shit was tight, just not mastered. And a true 'Pac diss, you know that shit is deep and murderous, something he never got with Mobb Deep.

Nicely put Jake. I wasn't saying Pac was the only one that lived the thug Life syxx, but he created T.H.U.G L.I.F.E, he represented alot more than just the average ghetto child lifestyle. Alot of people don't really get how consious of a person/MC he really was. Alot of people lived their lives through Pac's music, thats what makes him the important icon that he is today. & about "Hit Em' Up" I remember someone describing in one of the threads here about a diss song not needing to be lyrically advanced to be great, "Hit Em' Up" was pure raw, REAL emotion, & that's as real as a diss song gets.

I dont know, its just my opinion, if anything, Daz's production has fallen a little, but lyrically & flow wise, he has upped it a little. Again thats my opinion. If you like Snoop fine, dont mean I have to like him.
