RAKIM PREPS NEW LP, MAY STILL WORK WITH DRE // June 12, 2006
Rakim is back and ready to make this summer a holy one for hip hop fans. At Marc Ecko’s Save The Rhinos concert he announced that his new album, The Seventh Seal, will drop this summer on his own label.

Despite the split from Aftermath, The Seventh Seal may still very well include production from Dre. "I didn’t burn no bridges. He let me know if I need him for a track to holler at him."

The official exact summer release date of Rakim’s The Seventh Seal has not been announced as of press time.

It's from www.aftermathmusic.com

well Dre´s signed off on the tracks they did when Ra was on Aftermath so Ra has the right to put any of them shits on his new album.

Would be dope but I don't think we're going to hear Dre's stuff on Rakim's album... :(

Well I certainly hope it'll go down that way but what I do hope even more for is Dre and Ra working on a "new" track together and that it actually makes the final cut!!!

I hope it actually comes out. Ra has no choice but to come out with heat, I expect an album as good as fellow legend Ice Cube's release. He's capable of it.

'..the consciousness [rap] will come back around. I think it is, and I think that's why people wouldn't mind hearing a Rakim record right now.'

He said it himself...My opinion. I'm in this mood right now to hear some of his shit! This might be my 3rd album I'm actually looking forward to this year.

No doubt, Common's album did well, Cube will at least go gold, people are tired of the same old shit...I think folks are finally growing weary of he garbage that's been permeating the airwaves lately and want some real shit. I hope so at least.

Just argue about it til muthafuckas start seeing thru it. And well well what do ya know maybe all this so called 'complaining' we doin' is actually sinking in some minds. Like ya said
