Like Criminal said... Snoop gets more love than anyone. OGs, BGs, wannbes, never was, they all love Snoop. Hell, my dad loves Snoop. Overall, I think Snoop gets more love and respect than anyone. The other rappers get love, but most respect and love is Snoop. Snoop Dogg is on the west coast what Jigga wishes he was on the east, the undisputed king.

yeah... but in the living sense. Biggie still king of N.Y., but Jigga and Nas are fighting over that. Snoop has more popularity and respect than any other living rapper. I love 'Pac, but I think it's time to move on, and the art form should grow.

I know people in N.Y. though college that said during Christmas, Nas had the streets with the guys, and Jigga with the girls, and those not into hip-hop much.

As for Dre and Suge, people like Dre, but his not like Snoop, who at least when I'm home, is on the radio every other day, and has his Dogg Pound, which people love. Dre doesn't do much publically, so his not on peoples minds as much. Suge is feared, but not really love, and some wish he would just leave. If his not bring 'Paac from the dead, then people don't care. Street respect, Suge is a gangsta though not loved; Dre hasn't had really any respect since the Eazy E beef, which people started saying Dre's a great entertainer, but not a gangsta. Snoop, everyone thinks his gangsta, and the whole Crip shit makes it seem more real. And for those that still wouldn't let 2Pac die, everyone has been pumping 2Pac since I Get Around, and every car since then has had 2Pac all the time. Street people thought of him as a cool muthaphukka that isn't gangsta, but doesn't need to be, 'cause his cool. Snoop is almost like that, though the crip shit adds to his flavor.

Well, Im from tha Bay Area and in here Dre and Snoop get luv from tha stations and some of tha artists but no gives a fuck bout them on tha streets.......Them real gs wouldnt mind jacking them......lol.....(just like wat happened 2 lil wayne in frisco)


But anyway tha person dat gets tha most respect in tha bay is hand down "1st" ANDRE NICKATINA and "2nd" BROTHA LYNCH HUNG.
It's amazing how King Nicky aka Dre Dog aka Andre Nickatina has gotten people's attention over tha past couple of years........And ofcourse there's Lynch who's tha OG and been down wit tha bay since tha early 90s.


E40 and peeps like Richie Rich and Luniz etc. still get alot of respect tho, I mean I seen Richie Rich at a car show a month ago and he had a million niggaz all over him kickin it and shit.........But they dont get as MUCH respect as they did back in tha 90's dats 4 sure.........

everyone loves him in southern cali, he's not THE most popular rap artist down here but he's one of them, and people are always sayin' "ahh hell yeah that's new dre beat turn that shit up cuh" white black mexican and jew that's what  most people in the street and anywhere in s. cali in general say when .....let's say "put it on me" comes on dre's  the most beloved producer down here hands down

it's like jay-z no one really hates him out here but no one likes him at all either, the only time you hear someone talk about him is when people say

" oh he's the one who had pac and biggie killed"
"he's the dude that played uncle phil on fresh prince"

or in jokes  like

"damn that fool looks hungrier than suge knight at an all you can eat buffet"
"man slow down, stopping eating that (insert food item here)  so fast, it ain't like suge knight's around the corner to gank you for that shit"
