For this week's Dubcnn Throwback Joint edition we got female rapper Peeps who put it down for the West Coast a couple years back on her album "Whichwayzup", released in 2000. Peeps was backed by West Coast veteran Battlecat, as he was responsible for the majority of the album's production. Her debut was anticipated ever since she appeared on MC Ren's 1998 album "Ruthless For Life" on the song "Pimpin' Is Free".

Who knows what the lady is up to nowadays, but she definitely had some talent and that's why we decided to feature her this week. Another good reason to highlight this track is the guest artist, which is the late great King Lou (R.I.P). Our lost angel contributed a dope verse which meshed perfectly with Peeps who did her thing on it. The song we got is called "The Rain" and it was produced by Battlecat. This is one of those feel good joints that you gotta love, especially in the summertime.

Join us on this weeks throwback ride and check out this very slept-on song "The Rain" from her album "Whichwayzup".
