Lookin back Cali Iz Active could and should have been better, but for me that album is the sound. If it aint broke don't fix it. Daz said that he will be almost the sole producer for the next dogg pound album on doggystyle so if that is true, that album will already be better than this one. CIA had some good tracks, but like everyone else has said before me, I expected more. Snoop experiments a little too much with producers and the album at times was all over the place. It works for him, not DPG. Good to have Rage, RBX and Soopafly contribute. Soopa had some bangas on here. A good album not great. SDDS surprised the fuck out of me. I listened to CIA 1st so I did not know what to expect, but Kurupt's album is better than CIA IMO. Gotti improved alot on the mic and Daz provided some heat on the boards. I am telling yall, check out Gangstas Pt 2, he KILLED that song. Very lyrical and he sounded like he took his time with this one, not just freestyling everything. I am not saying that he does not resort to the bitch and MF rhymes schemes on here, but it is alot less. All in all, DPG is still having a good year, and you still have Soopa, Snoop and whatever else could come up.

CIA 3 out of 5
SDDS 3.5-4 out of 5
