This is the official statement about this situation. You can find it on billboard.com.
**********************************************
Rapper C-Murder, the younger brother of hip-hop mogul Master P, has been arrested in the shooting death of a 16-year-old at a nightclub, authorities said. Police accused Corey Miller, 30, of fatally shooting Steve Thomas following an argument Jan. 12 at the Platinum Club in Harvey, La. Miller has not yet been charged. Prosecutors will decide what charges he should face, police said.

As many as 300 people were inside the club when Miller, who was out on bail on an attempted murder charge stemming from an incident in Baton Rouge last August, pulled out a handgun and killed Thomas with a single gunshot, police said.

There was no indication that Thomas had pulled out a weapon, and the reason for the argument was unknown, authorities said. Officials at the Jefferson Parish jail said today (Jan. 19) that Miller did not yet have an attorney.

I think C-murder is really crazy,he was out on bail on an attempted murder charge at the moment.
What a fool!
These are my opinions, but i think:
1)At that time,he was drunk/high as fuck(plus is a crackhead)
2)He was on cocaine/ecstasy(or other dumb shits)
3)He's really a muthapuckin murderer

C-Murder is wrong and deserves what ever he gets..but those of you that are saying "How dare he shoot a 16 year old kid?!?" act like C just went to the local highschool.  This "16 year old kid" was in a nightclub and obviously was provoking C and probably was packed to.  Kill or be killed? I dunno--Im very disappointed that C-Murder did this, but I dont know the whole scenerio...but please-dont just look at it as "C-Murder kills a 16 year old kid" cos there has to be more to the situation.

Hold on........unless you know something that the rest of us don't, it's FAR from "obvious" that the kid "provoked" anyone.
Maybe he did, maybe he didn't but until we know let's not accuse the dead....
And you don't know he "was packed to" (sic) either, do you.
C-murder has shown himself to be a total fool in the past, even his fucking name is stupid.
The sad thing is after this, watch his album sell........

A history of trouble

He also had his share of troubles. In August, Miller surrendered to Baton Rouge police and was booked with attempted first-degree murder after allegedly trying to shoot a nightclub owner.

In addition, the rapper faced a charge of illegal use of a dangerous weapon stemming from that incident at Club Raggs in Baton Rouge. He also faced separate burglary and firearms charges related to another incident, police said at the time.

Along with others, the owner of the nightclub and a security guard there filed a lawsuit against Miller alleging that the incident began as Miller was searched for a weapon before entering the club.

In October, he released his fourth album, "C-P-3.com," named after the Calliope public housing complex, according to the rap star's official Web site.

"People were scared to implicate him, but the rumor was out there," said Detective Donald Clogher, adding that some patrons inside the club were frightened by Miller's "far reach."

Eventually, several witnesses identified Miller as the shooter, police said.

Jefferson Parish authorities got a break when Miller was arrested by New Orleans police Friday about 1 a.m. outside the House of Blues. He was booked with disturbing the peace and criminal trespassing, said officer Joe Narcisse, a spokesman for the New Orleans Police Department.

Detective Robert Stoltz, who was working a detail inside the club, spotted Miller and knew of a previous incident at the club involving the rapper , Narcisse said, adding that Miller also was wanted in New Orleans on domestic violence charges.

"Management (at the House of Blues) had removed him sometime in the past and told him he couldn't come back," Narcisse said.

Stoltz also knew that authorities might be looking for the rapper in connection with a separate case and contacted the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, Narcisse said.

Miller was taken to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna on an outstanding warrant for defrauding an innkeeper, police said. Police then issued a warrant for second-degree murder.

He is being held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna. No bond has been set.

Club questioned

Thomas, 16, apparently used someone else's ID to get into the Platinum Club on Jan. 12, which, according to a sign on its door, allows men ages 18 and older and women 21 and older to enter, Lee said.

Louisiana law allows 18- to 20-year-olds to enter bars, although the drinking age is 21.

Lee said he did not understand how Thomas was able to gain access into the nightspot, saying security personnel at the door are "supposed to match faces" when looking at patrons' identification.

Police did not rule out the possibility that the club might be sanctioned in connection with the incident but said no action had been taken.

When asked if the club was cooperating with police, a detective replied, "to an extent."

According to the secretary of state's office, Travis Mumphrey of 1256 King Drive in Marrero has owned the club since June 2000. Mumphrey did not return repeated phone calls.

'Living out his lyrics'

In the past, Lee has criticized the violence glamorized in gangsta rap and has questioned why the public does not express more outrage over such music.

But the sheriff toned down his talk Friday, saying he does not like rap music but acknowledges its popularity. "Sometimes, the lyrics are personally offensive, but they have the right to say it," he said.

Lee also said it is possible that Miller was "living out his lyrics."

Quoting one of his detectives who worked the case, Lee said of Miller, "He wanted to be a gangsta."

Another O.J. CASE or he will burn in a death row chair?
If Shyne has been condemned to 15 years(he has not killed nobody),prolly C-murder will be condemned to a life imprisonment/electric chair.
Who knows louisiana laws?
This time his big brother Master p can't save his ass!

I was thinking about this story..........and, you know, it's all kind of inevitable, really, isn't it?
When all it's about is how many guns you've got, how much drugs you've sold, how many people you've shot, how many "bitches" you've fucked.......
Look at C-Murder & Shyne they've thrown their futures away (and of course R.I.P. the kid who died), 'Pac & Biggie lost their lives..., and it's a long, long list..
I don't know, really, I love this music, I'm not even sure what point I'm trying to make, LOL,....maybe it's that for all the "artists" claiming they're just telling it how it is, the truth is most of them ARE just glamourizing it, and we can't be surprised when things like this happen.
