How do you play .rar files???

Please help!!! Call me dumb or whatever but how do you play .rar files?

I downloaded an album
Its an rar file
Went to play it
Won't play
I've had problems like this before but I just deleted the files, this time I ain't.
Can anybody help?

Download WinRAR for free (google it).

A .rar file is an archive containing all the songs within. Once you've got winRAR, double-click on the file and extract the tracks to where you want them.

hehehe yeah its a compressed file similar to that of a .zip file, i recommend powerarchiver for all your compression/decompression needs.
